woodstock.
joyous lake. the twenty-fourth. august nine nine.
'a hug goodbye'
checked the video after. and there she is. just like john said. pretty lady. dancing. grooving. right there in her seat. head and long long hair. turning turning turning. kick the feet up. raise her arms to the sky. couldn't see her at the time. with the stage lights in my eyes. but i can see her now. cool.
the song? sundays.
hmmmm. hoowooduhthunkit?
later in the set, i introduce anymore. tell 'em it was written up the street at the old tinker street cafe.
powhida's on the camera detail. gets a great wide shot of the room as i sing...
'applause is good tonite but soon it's gone i'm all alone...'
irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.
mojo back. tough room. but mojo back.
and nice to meet laura from scene unscene. mad supporters from way back in the day. damn.
john points out some pretty ladies on the stage later in the evening.
'when i was here a coupla weeks ago, ' i tell him, 'they each gave me a hug goodbye. cuz i was with mario. and yet tonite they have no idea who i am.'
on to boston.
