Carl's call to action
This is Carl's e-mail to the BT mailing list about what's in store for extras taking part in the Babylon video project. If you want in, contact us. Should be a long day, but fun. Everyone taking part gets some food, drink and a free copy of the Babylon record to boot.
Ladies and gents,
My name is Carl Liss, and it's been a pleasure to hinder Bryan's singing career whenever the opportunity arises. You'll be thrilled to hear that time has come again! This weekend, myself and a crew from Califonia are flying into the Capital District to film the music video "Babylon", from the new CD of the same name, at Tess' Lark Tavern. Lights, camera, action!
One day of filming is basically a small crowd scene - folks clapping along with Bryan's song, cheering and giving him props - the same thing we do at any of his live shows. WE DO NEED MORE FANS FOR THIS DAY OF SHOOTING.
Logistics: Call time is Monday, the 6th, 9 AM, and we will run through to 5 or 6 PM. We will be feeding you and providing non-stop entertainment, a copy of Bryan's new album, and a copy of the finished video.
The most important element is this - it's a "narrative" music video, almost like a 3 minute short film. So you must be able to dedicate your day to Bryan's project - we can't have you appear in a few fan shots, then have you disappear from the crowd because you had a labor day picnic at 3 PM. We really do need your assistance, but must be clear on this point.
Some of you may already have plans and family obligations - but if you don't have anything burning on Labor Day, then I ask you - as fans, friends & musical peers - to come out and help us get Bryan and his musical career to the next level.
Please RSVP with the producer, Matt Fabiano, and contact him if you have any questions.
Rock on, and thank you for your time!
Carl W. Liss, Director
